Together, we can make a difference when it matters most.

Permits are issued during business hours only.
In Elk Ridge City, burn permits are required and can be applied for online. Please note that open burn dates are set by the county and are subject to change depending on weather and air quality conditions. Permits are valid for one day only, and a separate permit must be obtained for each day you plan to burn. After receiving your permit from the city, you are also required to call Utah County on the day of your burn for final permission.

Retrofitting your home can greatly improve its resistance to wildfires. Simple upgrades, such as fire-resistant roofing, vents, and siding, help protect your property from sparks and flames. Click here for more information on how to make your home safer from wildfires.
We are looking for committed individuals to join our team as firefighters or EMTs. No experience is required—training is provided. Step up, learn new skills, and make a real difference for your neighbors. Application is here.

In Elk Ridge, we encourage safe and responsible use of outdoor fire pits. Fires should always be attended, kept small, and completely extinguished before leaving them. Please avoid burning on windy days, keep water or a fire extinguisher nearby, and follow any seasonal fire restrictions. Together we can enjoy outdoor fires while keeping our community safe.
Elk Ridge is located in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI), where homes and open space meet.
