Burn Permit -
CLOSED UNTIL MARCH
Permits are issued during business hours only
Open burning in Elk Ridge City is allowed only during the designated burn windows of March 1–30 and October 1–30, weather permitting. Dates are subject to change based on air quality and weather conditions. Burn permits are valid for one day only, and a new permit must be obtained for each day you plan to burn. After receiving your permit from the city, you must call Utah County 801-851-2876 on the day of your burn to ensure conditions are approved. Please follow all safety guidelines to help keep our community safe.
You must have a valid permit number from the City of Elk Ridge before burning. The permit number will be sent to you by email, and it must be available on site while burning.
Please burn responsibly and remember that there are fines for burning without a permit.
